Manistee Jingle Bell Jog 5K 2016 Results

The 2016 Manistee Jingle Bell Jog 5K was the best ever!  Almost 150 runners and walkers hit the streets of Manistee in the 9th annual race.

The overall winner of the race was Ginger Breadman, finishing with a time of 17:41.  Breadman (also known as John Lipa) finished ahead of Elliot Kamaloski, who was 2nd in 19:06.  Noelle Fink was the first woman in 21:52, just 2 seconds ahead of Olivia Holtgren.  

Top walkers were Ed Zimmerman (39:30) and Amy Madsen (42:16).

The race was held as a fundraiser for the Manistee cross-country program.  Between entry fees, donations, and sponsorships organized by Lisa Fragomeli, known as the "Jingle Bell General" of the race, over $4000 was raised for the Manistee XC teams.  Thanks for all of your support!

Jingle Bell Jog 5K is back again!

Join us for the annual Jingle Bell Jog 5K, this year to be held on Dec. 3rd, 2016, during the Manistee Old Victorian Weekend.

The 5K run and walk starts at 10am.  Each registrant gets a special long-sleeve T shirt - add $5 to make it a tech shirt.  Entry is only $17 by Nov. 23rd - $22 afterwards up through race day.

Results - Manistee Firecracker 5K 2016

What a great day!  Thanks to all that ran and helped out!  A fantastic turnout enjoyed nearly perfect conditions for the 2016 Manistee Firecracker 5K!

Don Richmond repeated as top finisher (16:29), with David Atkinson the top masters runner (17:33). MHS Track & XC coach Hilary Edmonson was the top female finisher (21:57) with Julie Modjeski the top masters female (22:51).

Overall winners got trophies, age group winners took home plaques, while runner-ups got some fancy new medals.  All fun runners got a finish medal.  Runners enjoyed food and drinks courtesy of Family Fare.

Manistee Firecracker 5K 2016

Get ready for the fastest, most exciting Firecracker 5K yet!

The 2016 Manistee Firecracker 5K will be held Saturday, July 2nd in conjunction with the Manistee Area Forest Festival.  Once again we'll have a 5K run/walk and a 1K fun run.  Proceeds from the race go to support the construction of a new Manistee community track, which is happening this year!
