The 5th annual Manistee Jingle Bell Jog 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Dec. 8th, 2012. Once again held at Manistee's Kennedy Elementary, the race will go through the snowy streets of Manistee, with runners wearing Jingle Bells on their shoes as they travel through neighborhoods decorated for the season. This race helps support the Manistee Cross-country team - we've purchased new uniforms and funded trips to the Portage Invitational thanks to this race! Plan to be there!

The Chip boys, led by Jarret Deisch's 7th place 18:05, got their first trophy of the year by finishing second to state-ranked MCC. Jonny Bailey got his name on the school's record board, as his time of 18:14 makes him the 5th fastest Chip boy all-time on their home course behind MHS.
The Chip girls had some outstanding times on their way to 3rd place. Annie Fuller continued her winning ways, taking her 4th straight race with a sophomore record time of 19:07. Ashley Lindeman's 3rd place time of 20:11 was only 1 second off of Fuller's freshman record time, and it makes her the 3rd fast Chip girl on the home course. Most of the runners, boys and girls, ran their fastest times ever at home, despite the nasty weather.
