Manistee Firecracker 5K 2018 results - hot enough for you?

The 2018 Manistee Firecracker 5K is in the books!  We finished one hour before the Excessive Heat Warning went into effect, so no complaining about the 85º temps with 85% humidity!

Manistee Firecracker 5K 2018 is heating up!

The 2018 Manistee Firecracker 5K is sure to be the best one yet!  

This year's race will be June 30th, 2018, with the 1K Fun Run at 8am and the 5K Run/Walk at 8:15am.  We will once again feature T-shirts with registration, with Tech-shirts $5 extra.  

Bring your family and enjoy the view of the lake as you run this fun but challenging course!

The 5K raises funds for the Manistee Community Track Project.  The community track finally opened this spring - but we still need to add bleachers, a press box, timing equipment, etc.

Manistee Jingle Bell Jog 2017 Results!

Perfect weather for a great race!  Sunny and 40's - and did we see a few shirtless runners today?

Over 150 runners and walkers completed the 2017 Jingle Bell Jog 5K on December 2nd.  Top male runner was Brett Schlaff (18:42), breaking a 7-year winning streak held by John Lipa (aka Buddy Elf, aka Chris K Ringle, aka Ginger Breadman, aka Clark Griswold.)  Lipa took 2nd this year in 19:10.  Noelle Fink defending her women's title, finishing in 21:18, finishing ahead of Sheena Northrup (21:30) and Denny Calling (21:50.)  Kris Willick (42:45) and Jim Berish (49:06) were the top walkers.

Thanks to our fantastic sponsors, led by the contributions of our "Jingle Bell General" Lisa Fragomeli, over $2000 was raised for the Manistee Cross-Country teams.  This money will go to pay for new warm-ups and help cover the cost for trips to large invitationals.
