Get ready for the 2022 Manistee Jingle Bell Jog 5K Run/Walk! The race will take place Saturday, December 3rd at 10am, part of the Manistee Old Victorian Sleighbell Weekend. This year's race will start and finish at The Tabernacle Church, 77 Hancock St.
The race is a fundraiser for the Manistee Public Schools Cross-Country teams. Come on out and run through the streets of Manistee - costumes are allowed and encouraged.

We had a great turnout for the 2022 Manistee Firecracker 5K Run/Walk! Thanks to all that ran, walked, or volunteered. All proceeds once again go to the Manistee Community Track.
Overall winners were Nathan Pavlik (17:15) and Ashley Lindeman (19:36), with Masters winners Scott Ursum (18:08) and Denny Capling (21:57).

The Manistee Forest Festival's classic race, the Firecracker 5K, returns July 2nd, 2022. Come out and celebrate at a fun, family friendly 5K that includes a loop of the beach and a great view of Lake Michigan!
Date: July 2nd, 2022 5K Run/Walk (8:15AM) and 1K Fun Run (8:00AM)

The Manistee Firecracker 5K Run/Walk returned to in person racing in 2021 with the biggest crowd of runners in a decade enjoying a perfect morning of competition!
The overall male winner of the 5K, Ethan Dapice of Manistee, finished in 18:27, just 5 seconds ahead of runner-up Manistee HS sophomore Abdul Ghennewa. Long time racer John Lipa of Manistee was the first Masters runner, taking 3rd overall in 18:36. 17 year old Lindsey Barry of Loveland, CO, was the first lady finisher with a time of 20:49, while the first lady Master runner was Manistee's Denny Capling in 21:45.
Over 350 runners and walkers competed on Saturday, July 3rd, with all proceeds going to support the Manistee Area Community Track.

The Manistee Firecracker 5K Run/Walk will return in person for 2021! This year's date is set for Saturday July 3rd, 2021, with the 1K Fun Run at 8am and the 5K toeing the line at 8:15am.
Current pandemic restrictions will be observed, whatever they are at the time. For now we are capping registration at 300 total entries, so sign up today!
Once again runners can choose between a specially designed cotton T-shirt or a quick drying tech T-shirt. Overall trophies will be awarded to the top Male, top Female, top Masters Male (40 - up) and top Master Female, with plaques and medals awarded to the winners of each age group.
The race is tentatively scheduled to be held at Manistee Middle/High school and will once again run by the Lake Michigan shoreline with a mostly flat course that features one challenging hill on the last mile.
This 5K race supports the community track in Manistee.
