EKUP 2011 Results

Ekup 2011 took place Tuesday, November 8th, with some of the most miserable weather the race has experienced in its 23 year history. There was no snow or blowing wind, as previous years have seen, but a steady downpour that gave way to a cold, damp mist soaked and chilled runners to the bone as they tackled the challenging 15K course.

Nearly 40 students, coaches, and parents from the Manistee, Bear Lake, Onekama, and Ludington area showed up to run. Runners started at the Manistee First Baptist Church and continued along Lakeshore Drive until they arrived at Portage Lake Bible Camp in Onekama. Jarret Deisch, a Manistee high school junior, was the first finisher with a time of 58:29.

Thanks to TES Filer City Station, Portage Lake Bible Camp, Manistee First Baptist Church, Manistee Area Public Schools, Sports Ink, and all of the parents and supporters of Mansitee XC for helping put on this yearly event!
