Firecracker 2017 is a blast!

Over 300 runners and walkers took part in the 2017 Manistee Firecracker 5K.  The annual race, held  July 1st this year, saw Brayden Law from Ft. Wayne beat defending champ Donald Richmond of Portland, MI, to set a new course record in 15:38, bettering Richmond's time of 16:15.  Shawn Bell of Sturgis (16:44) and Eric Quinn of Onekama (17:01 - top master) followed behind.

Manistee HS runner Noelle Fink narrowly edged out MHS grad Ashley Lindeman for the women's title, 20:03 to 20:04.  Another Manistee HS runner, Olivia Holtgren, was the 3rd woman finisher in 21:36.  Kim Poma of Manistee took the top masters' spot in 23:19.
